„The book you are holding in your hand is the result of over 15 years of research. It is based on more than a hundred personal and online conversations, thousands of newspaper articles, and numerous internet interviews that provided essential information.

On my Blogspot site called “Karanténzóna,” I began sharing audio recordings, photos, and information about bands from the 1980s. This work has continued—with occasional breaks—up to the present day.
The core idea was inspired by the 1987 publication of the “Képes Rock Enciklopédia,” which was considered a fundamental work at the time. Additionally, the “Magyar Oi! & SKA Lexikon,” edited by Sándor Kaszapal, also served as an inspiration.
I envisioned a much more comprehensive encyclopedia, with more information, including up to 8–10 photos per band, newspaper clippings, and posters. Due to space limitations, this was not possible, and about 50–60 alternative, Ska, and Oi! bands had to be left out. I plan to include these missing sections in my future books.

The topic of Hungarian punk has traditionally been a neglected area in music journalism and publishing.

A few years ago, thanks to Trottel Books, a series of books were launched, and now, as the third volume, my first book has been published…”
